Plain Talk hosts indie-folk musicians Julie Marie and Allie Crummy on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 5 pm.

Julie Marie a singer-songwriter and community musician out of the greater Chicago area. Julie's debut album, The Gardens Below, is out now.

Allie Crummy is a singer-songwriter based in Des Moines. Allie has released three albums, two EPs, and a few extra singles to date, most recently Cotton Candy Sky, a four-song EP that will become part of a larger work.

The all-ages event is free and open to the public.
